Equipment leasing
Where does AI help an equipment leasing company first?
The short answer
In the back office, on the work that repeats every month: commissions, recurring reports and the reconciliations behind them. That is where we started at a 200-person leasing company, where a monthly commission run went from four days to about two hours. Credit decisions and customer relationships stay with your people.

What we built for a 200-person leasing company
Three results from client work, each checked by a person before anyone relied on it:
- A monthly commission run: four days became about two hours. Built on the company's systems and matched against its own past numbers, to the cent. A person checks the result before anyone is paid.
- A recurring report: two days became five minutes. Built from the same source files and checked line by line against past reports.
- Up to 50% more productive per person, measured over one week on a leader's recurring processes, before and after.
How the commission run was built and checked: automating a monthly commission run.
Where to look in a leasing back office
The best first targets repeat every month, follow written rules and pull from the same exports. In a leasing company, that usually means:
- Commissions and incentive payouts to sales reps and vendor partners.
- Month-end, portfolio and board reporting pulled from the leasing system and accounting.
- Reconciliations between the leasing system, the general ledger and bank files.
- Application and document intake: reading what arrives and flagging what is missing, for a person to review.
What stays with your people
Credit decisions, pricing exceptions and customer relationships. AI can gather, sort and draft. The judgment calls, and the sign-off on anything that touches a customer or a payout, stay with the people you hired for them. We do not shrink teams. We multiply them.
Your leasing system stays
We do not sell software and we do not replace your leasing or accounting system. We build on the systems and AI accounts your company already owns, from the reports your team already exports. If your system has no usable API, that is fine: see reporting when the ERP has no usable API.
When AI is not the answer
Some problems need an AI agent. Some need workflow automation. Some are better solved with a phone call and a spreadsheet. If the hard part of the work is judgment, or the volume is small, we will tell you to leave it alone.
Questions people ask next
Do you only work with leasing companies?
No. We work with companies that want AI working inside the business they already run. Our first measured results come from a 200-person leasing company.
Will it work with our leasing software?
If it can export a report, yes. The tool is built on the exports your team already runs, with no admin access and nothing written back into the system.
Is our customer data safe?
Your data stays in your company's own systems and AI accounts, set up in your company's name. Business AI accounts do not train on your data, and every permission is listed in writing for IT to approve.
How were the results measured?
On the same recurring work, before and after, with every output matched against the company's own past numbers before anyone relied on it.
Who does the work?
The founders, with nine AI employees, each with one beat. Every piece is checked by a person before it goes out.
More answers
- How do companies automate a monthly commission run? Rules in code, every result matched to past payouts, a person approving. Four days became about two hours.
- Can AI cut the time it takes to build a monthly board package? Yes, for the assembly: pulling, tables, formatting. One recurring report went from two days to five minutes.
- What is an outsourced AI department, and is it worth it? An outside team that sets the strategy, builds the tools, trains your people and keeps it working, month to month.
